Visited Asadero los tios for taco Tuesday. This is a neighborhood restaurant located in Northeast Philly. Keep an eye out or you'll drive right past the restaurant. There is a small parking lot and on street parking. Upon entering the venue we were greeted by an employee who asked if we wanted to done in or order take out. We opted for take out and he provided us with a menu. We picked the beef birria tacos, and Al pastor quesadilla. We sat and waited at a table while our food was being prepared. The restaurant was clean and I got a glimpse of the outdoor patio that others had mentioned in their reviews. I noticed a board with daily specials and asked my wife if she was up to trying the cow tongue tacos! She replied no. Our food was done pretty quickly and we went home to eat. Everything looked delicious upon unboxing. We had lime, onion, cilantro, and two sauces. The birria tacos had plenty of consommé. The quesadilla was yummy. It was filled with plenty of meat, tomato, lettuce and cheese. The birria taco was tasty, but the beef could have been a little more tender. I look forward to going back and sitting at the outside patio while trying some new menu items.

The best barria taco's in the north east! So authentic, so filling ! So amazing! My mouth waters just talking about it. With some roasted jalapeños it definitely makes it tasty.

We were at Cottman and were craving heavy food. We ordered the Birria Torta and tacos. Birria Torta was our favourite. The broth is YUMMMMMMMM! Juicy, cheesy, meaty in a bite! Definitely recommended!

TL:DR = Great staff but food is overhyped in other reviews. Food is about 3.5 stars, service is 4 so rounding up. All the staff were very friendly. For a Sunday night the place was busy, all of the tables occupied and there was a steady stream of take out/grub hub orders going out the door the entire time. Run down for food is as follows: Good - The stand out items for our meal were the beef birria tacos and the passion fruit drink made in house. Just Ok - Pineapple drink was not too sweet The chicken meat in the other birria was bland but forgivable since it came with the consume. Bad - The shrimp fajitas were lacking seasoning altogether and the strawberry drink was overly sweet. All-in-all not a bad dinner but since it isn't close to my home not sure I'll wander back.
